Works exactly like I wanted it to. It’s in a smaller room 400 sf) and it gets it very toasty when there is a good sized fire going. The heat shields on the stove work great. I took the temperature of the the ceramic tiles behind the stove and the read 70 degrees. To heat a larger room, I’d take the heat shields off of the stove.
Very happy with everything from delivery to how well it was packaged to the look! I needed a stove with a smaller footprint and this fit perfectly. Well-made and sturdy.
Our Deco Nano stove arrived well packed for delivery. This is a very attractive stove. We particularly like the wood storage area underneath the fire box. This raises the height of the stove, making it easier to load the stove, clean the ashes out and view the fire. It also eliminates the need for a separate wood box.
This stove feels much safer than the stove it is replacing. The single air intake control is easy to use and allows precise adjustment of the fire. Load it up, set your air intake to the desired position and enjoy the warmth that radiates from the stove as well as the flames.
The manual states that it has a burn time of five hours which might be a concern for some people hoping for a longer burn time, inducing them to purchase a larger stove than they need, but that five hour figure is deceiving. I have loaded this stove with four or five pieces of hard wood and the next morning, ten hours later, have been able to pull the embers forward, place a few small pieces of wood in the box and the fire reignites, This is in an 800 square foot area with an outside temperature of 10* F.
The Deco Nano is quality stove. I am happy with my decission to purchase one and would recommend this stove.
Arrived with 2 broken bricks. Contacted your company 3 weeks ago for replacements. Nothing yet. I had read you have terrible customer service. Guess that is right. Haven't been able to use yet so can't comment on how it works.
Our experience with purchasing this stove has been worth 5 stars on every level. The customer service was excellent, the price is so reasonable, the shipping was included and was professional and convenient. This stove is HEAVY but is gorgeous and high quality. We absolutely love the combination of relatively compact size while also having a large firebox, oven and stovetop capacity. I did a lot of shopping around and I couldn’t be happier having made this investment.
This stove is luxurious compared to what we had before. Very efficient and burns for a long time. Even if we don’t get up in the middle of the night, there’s always coals in the AM. We have a couple of slight issues though. May not be practical for 24/7 use as there’s no grate for the ash to fall through. It has a plug which means you have to let the fire go out to clean it. Our winters in the mountains of NE TN are fairly mild, but someone up north might have a hard time in the winter if you have to let it burn out before cleaning. The only other issue we have is with loading it. We’re used to a side loader, so it can be a bit tricky stacking logs without them tumbling out. All in all though, it’s an excellent stove and with the right kind of wood it keeps us warm and cozy in our 850 sq ft home.
Bought this stove a couple months ago and finally got it installed. We absolutely love the large viewing glass, good sized burn box for the compactness of the stove, and love the minimalist look. Our house is about 1100 SF and this baby has no problem heating the entire place. We did get a baffle installed in the stove pipe, which has been useful for turning the fire down further. It still burns pretty well with the stove air intake turned all the way down. Hopefully we can get it fine tuned enough to make it last overnight, but so far that hasn’t happened.
I highly appreciate the thoughtfulness and care of your company in dealing with your customers . I am not sure exactly why I chose your company to purchase my Drolet Deco Nano wood stove . . . I think it was just partially a gut feeling and that I also liked the overall ambiance of your web page . I am looking forward to doing business with you and I am also looking forward to purchasing and receiving my Drolet Deco Nano wood stove .
This is the best stove ever! We live off grid in northern Vermont. This Drolet Bistro stove is everything you said it would be! I love cooking in the oven! I have learned how to keep the fire going consistently at the temperature I need for baking all sorts of delicious food! Also it keeps a fire overnight! I also like watching the fire in the bottom! I always feel warm and cozy.
This small stove came in a wood crate fully assembled. It is very nice looking, burns great and is easy to control. I am very pleased.
These high efficiency, EPA stoves do have a learning curve - at first I couldn’t get a fire to take and I ended up having to add a chimney section. Drolet was helpful with troubleshooting on the phone, and Fyre Direct immediately sent out a fire brick to replace one that arrived broken. I have now been using my Deco Nano as the primary heat source in my house for the past few weeks and couldn’t be happier. Definitely recommend getting the thermocouple and blower to go with it, and installation was easy.
I absolutely love my Drolet Deco II Stove. Installation was a breeze. The modern look and raised fire box is super chic. I did a ton of research ahead of time, and I am so happy that I went with this product. I needed a smaller woodstove for my cottage getway, and it's perfect for the space. It burns like a dream and gives off enough heat to warm the entire first and second floor of my house. Fyre Direct was really great to work with. I was told exactly what to expect, and didn't experience a single issue. I will absolutely order from them again in the future if the need arises.
I think this is the best place to buy a wood heater or fireplace product. The heater was priced well with freight included, and NO sales tax - great! My Deco II arrived quickly with only a broken firebrick and a scuff on one of the legs. The owners took care of those issues immediately. Check these folks out - you won't regret it.
I haven't used the fire screen as of yet. It looks to be a quality product. My opinion, for whatever it's worth, is that it is very over priced! A person has no choice but to pay the going rate because there are no other choices. I think the screen should be included when you purchase the insert. It would be great if someone responds to my comments. Thank you for your time. Have a safe and healthy holidays.
Fyre Direct provided great customer service and a very smooth transaction. Shipping was quick, and my emails were answered without delay. The Drolet Nano is perfect for my application. Thank you Fyre Direct….and thank you, Drolet!🔥
I love my Drolet / it arrived a little late due to the shipper going out of business in transit but it arrived in a perfect package. It’s very eye appealing for sure and I’m sure it’ll be perfect once hooked up. I highly recommend
Hi Brian,
We are glad that the stove arrived in perfect condition. We will look into the shipping company you are talking about as we work with a wide range of different shipping companies and sometimes other ones if the location is hard to reach. If one is going out of business we can work with another one very easily to send items. We can assure other customers that our shipping lines are fully functional and we can deliver to the lower 48 states and even Alaska. Many thanks for your review and we hope you enjoy your wood stove.
Fast shipping. Received with a few broken bricks, sent pictures in email, was handled promptly. Good solid stove, and looks great.
We haven't been able to use stove yet. It took forever to get here. We had to track it down then they wouldn't deliver to our home. Ended up at friends house 4 hours away. We had to go and get it then get it into the house. I am 67 yo it was not easy but we did it. If you can't deliver to customers home you should tell them before you take their $1800. We werent real happy. Hope when we use it next year it is worth all the trouble.
Great little wood stove. Perfect for a tight space, but warms up extended areas nicely! Very happy with it 😁
Perfect size and heats amazing. Aesthetically pleasing
This stove is very well built. I put this in my cabin and it is the only heat source, it heats very nicely. The top plate is very thick, I place a cast iron humidifier on it and it does very well. You can also cook on the top if needed. Overall I am very pleased with the stove and Fyre Direct.
The stove arrived undamaged. Perfect condition. Haven't installed it yet. Only arrive a week ago.
Works perfect. I love how it blows the air around shell of stove, but also hits heat deflect and air goes directly on stove pipe. Wow what a set up.
Arrived intact and unharmed with everything as advertised. Already installed with a couple of test fires to cure…. Bring on the cold, I believe we are ready! Thankyou
